Project #4 Piccy

Okay so here it is! Project #4. So yeah, I couldn't put the stiff
interfacing in the top band because I kept breaking needles. Just to thick. I
will find a thinner interfacing and try again later. But til then this will have
to do. :) Note to self: Next time do your project on practice fabric first.

The Darla Purse Mess up Project # 4

So I know I am supposed to be uploading projects! I got mad at my last project. I critisize my work way to much. And I just have not wanted to make anything since. The last project was the Darla Purse byAshley Johnson of www.Makeit-Loveit.com Let me start by saying this is a really great tutorial, but the extra sturdy lining was just way to thick for my machine. So I don't believe I used the right interfacing. I will get pictures up soon. I realize that when you make something the first time there is bound to be mess ups. Well I decided to ignore this and use a fabric that I have been waiting forever to use. Was saving it for the perfect project. And it would have been perfect for this project, but alas I was impatient and used it on my first try. I am currently carrying the purse today, but feel like it didn't turn out quite how I planned. I will definitely start posting more soon. Till then I'm hitting the gym, and when I'm out I will upload a pic of my first Darla Purse. :)

2 Projects ~ Started last night

So I started two projects last night, but since I do like to get some sleep, they had to wait til tonight. Hopefully with all that has to be done before we head to Charlston tomorrow for thanksgiving, I will have time to finish the purse I started making. Hardest part so far is my corner gather, as the interfacing is a bit stiff and my thread keeps breaking when I pull the gather together. This will be my first purse and I am making if from my favorite material that I have been saving for something special, so I've really got my fingers crossed on this one. Til then laundry and dishes and family oh my!

Project #3 ~ Red Hair

So before I got married I used to dye my hair red regularly. I had some strange idea that I wanted Justin to marry the real me and let my hair grow out to real color before getting married. Well it has been real color for more than 7 years now. For the past 2 years I have wanted to color it yet again. So I figured it has been 2 years and I am still thinking about it, might as well get it over with. :)

Project #2 ~ Christmas Wreath

I have so been looking forward to making one of those felt wreaths that everyone is making this year. I bought the materials 2 weeks ago but have been procrastinating the cutting out of over 200 3inch circles. Well I'm so glad I finally started. 6 hours and over 200 circles later, we have a wreath that I love! I hope you love it as much as I do. If you dare to try this one, here is the tutorial I used to make this beautiful wreath.

Project #1 ~ Small things count too!

So today there were no new crafts for me. Trust me I have a ton of them
readily available at my disposal, but it seems hiking and family time
took the lead today. (Not complaining) I did manage to fit in a knit
braided bracelet, made from an old t-shirt, and plan to make more in
other colors. But for now this will have to do. Idea came from this
site

100s of Projects in the Making

So I have bought and thought up 100's of projects that I want to do. I think it has become quite a clutter problem around the house, not to meantion the shopping problem. What better way to cut back on spending then to use my Free Time and my already purchased items to start creating the things I may never get to otherwise. This is the reason for my blog and I hope you like it.
So I started making things to sell, and I really don't like selling stuff. I don't like sitting on stuff that I have made just waiting for someone to buy them. Seems like a waste when I could give it to someone now and it could be being used. lol So for now I won't be adding anything to my shop. Instead I will sell what is up and take any custom orders someone may want. Cause what I really love is to make new crafts that I haven't done before. Making the same thing over and over just doesn't do it for me. I want to try something new everytime. This is the reason for my blog. So I will have a reason to keep creating things just for the fun of it and not let selling things suck the fun right out of me.
